From Sketch to Tactile Object
Before any design can materialize, it requires meticulous planning and precision in technical drawing. Collaborating intimately with my clients, we explore the technical nuances, potential, and consequences of each design, shaping it into a form that is both functional and visually appealing.
Once perfected, I convert these designs into patterns suitable for various sizes and prepare comprehensive technical guides for production. This includes crafting detailed tech packs, complete with illustrations.
For large-scale production, digitalizing patterns is advisable. I work with expert CAD-CAM drafters to incorporate this step smoothly into the workflow.
Furthermore, the conscious effort to repurpose discarded materials adds a gratifying dimension to my work. I believe that an effective circular economy demands transformative changes in the way we design and make clothing.
